LEAVE POLICY 2026
The leave year is calculated from 1st January to 31st December (2026).
Categories of Leave
A. Earned Leave (EL) / Privilege Leave
- Entitlement: 10 Days per year.
- Usage: Must be planned and applied for at least 7 days in advance.
- Carry Forward: Unused EL can be carried forward to the next year (Max accumulation: 15 days).
B. Casual Leave (CL)
- Entitlement: 5 Days per year.
- Usage: For unforeseen personal matters. Can be taken for a half-day or full day.
- Restriction: CL cannot be combined with Earned Leave or Sick Leave. Unused CL lapses at the end of the year (it does not carry forward).
C. Sick Leave (SL)
- Entitlement: 3 Days per year.
- Usage: Strictly for medical recovery.
- Restriction:
- SL can be combined with EL (Earned Leave)
- For SL 2 consecutive days are not allowed:
- Carry Forward: Unused SL lapses at the end of the year.
4. General Rules
- Sandwich Rule: If you are absent on Friday and the following Monday without approval, the weekend (Saturday/Sunday) will be counted as leave.
- Approval: All leaves must be approved via email.
- Unpaid Leave (LWP): Any leave taken over and above the entitlement will be treated as Leave Without Pay.
- Unpaid Leave (LWP): Any unapproved leaves can be reason for immediate termination.
